Hi. I am an only child born and raised in greatest city in the world: New York. I try not to make it my whole entire personality trait, but I am a firm believer that New York City kids are simply bred different.

My father is French, born in Paris. My mom is American, born in Pittsburgh. Because of my bicultural background I ended up at a French school my whole education prior to college. Growing up in that kind of international environment has exposed me to various different cultures, languages and perspectives on the world that I carry with me today. 

 

Somehow I found myself in the Midwest for undergrad. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Journalism, and I am eager to launch my career in public relations and corporate communications. However, that is subject to change because I have a lot of dreams and passions when it comes to my future career. Sometimes I think I want to have my own column in a lifestyle magazine à la Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City, but other days I think I can be a war journalist. Virtually, anything that has to do with getting an important message out there through my own eyes and words. I have always been drawn to anything that gives room for creativity and innovative thinking. In other words, I love to write.

If growing up in New York has taught me anything, it is the beauty of being by the sea. My family spent our summers at the beach, so I have always gravitated towards the ocean. Something about water. It has manifested itself in so many aspects of my life. I swam for a competitive team from 7 to 14 years old. I have been racing small sailboats since I was 8 years old, and eventually worked my way up into getting certified to sail up to a 50ft sailing yacht by 14 years old. At 16 years old I got my certification as a rescue scuba diver and now, at almost 21 years old, I am working to get my dive master license so I can teach others to scuba dive someday.

All this to say…welcome! That was just a somewhat short introduction into who I am. I hope that it satisfies your curiosity or at least offers some insight into the person behind my voice.
